To
the Westcoast Silverdale Hotel at 3073 Bucklin Hill Rd:
From the Seattle-Tacoma Airport
it’s about 60 miles to the host hotel. From
the airport follow the signs to the freeways.
Get onto I-5 going southbound. Continue
on I-5 South approximately 20 miles to exit 132, in Tacoma.
Exit I-5 at exit 132, Gig Harbor, Bremerton, and merge onto SR-16 (West). Continue 26.7 miles on SR-16 to SR-3. Stay to the left and follow the signs marked Hood Canal Bridge. Continue 8.7 miles on SR-3. Exit at NW Newberry Hill Rd and turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Silverdale Way NW. Go 1 mile then turn right onto NW Bucklin Hill Rd. Go about 1 block to the hotel on the right.

the Ferries:
From
the Seattle/Bremerton Ferry:
Exit ferry and continue forward leading onto Washington St.
Take Washington to 6th Street and turn left.
6th will turn into Kitsap Way.
Continue on Kitsap Way to Hwy 3 North.
Continue on Hwy 3 to the Newberry Hill Road Exit.
Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Silverdale Way.
Follow Silverdale Way about 1 mile to Bucklin Hill Road.
Turn right and go about 1 block to the hotel on the right.
From
the Seattle/Bainbridge Ferry:
Exit ferry and continue forward leading onto Hwy 305.
Follow Hwy 305 North off Bainbridge Island and through Poulsbo.
Take the Hwy 3 South exit and continue on Hwy 3 to the Kitsap Mall Exit.
Turn left off the exit onto Kitsap Mall Blvd.
Follow this to Silverdale Way and turn right.
Follow Silverdale Way to Bucklin Hill Road and turn left. The hotel is about 1 block on the right.
From
the Edmonds/Kingston Ferry:
Exit the ferry and follow Bond Road (Hwy 104) to Hwy 305 – 9 miles.
Turn right onto Hwy 305 and follow to Hwy 3 South.
Continue to Kitsap Mall Exit. Turn
left onto Kitsap Mall Blvd. Follow
this to Silverdale Way and turn right. Follow Silverdale Way to Bucklin Hill Road and turn left.
The hotel is about 1 block on the right.
To
the Agility Trial at 1200 NW Fairgrounds Rd, Bremerton:
From the host hotel turn right onto NW Bucklin Hill Road.
Go .7 miles and turn right onto Tracyton Blvd NW.
Go about 1.2 miles and turn left onto Fairgrounds Road. Go about 1/4 mile
and look for the Agility Trial signs at the fairgrounds on the left.
Alternative
route for larger vehicles: From the host hotel turn right on NW Bucklin Hill
Road. Go approx. 1.75 miles and turn right on Nels Nelson Road NW (its almost at
the bottom of the hill, go slow). Go approx. 1.5 miles to Fairgrounds Road. Turn
right. Look for the Agility trial signs.
To
the Tracking Trial staging
site at 9090 Old Olympic Hwy, Sequim:
From the host hotel plan about 1 1/2 hours. Turn left onto Bucklin Hill Rd.
Turn right onto Silverdale Way then left onto Poplars Ave.
Turn left onto Kitsap Mall Blvd, which becomes Clear Creek Rd.
Take the Hwy 3 freeway entrance towards Hood Canal Bridge.
Go 14 miles on Hwy 3 then turn left onto Hwy 104.
Go about 16 miles to US-101. Take
Hwy 101 about 20 miles to the Sequim Ave N exit. Turn right off the exit and
follow this road to Old Olympic Hwy. Turn
left and continue on this to the Sequim
Valley Foursquare church, on
the left.

To
the Herding Trial at 2720
Thompson Rd, Langley on Whidbey Island: Plan at least 2 1/2 hours
from the Host Hotel. From the hotel
you can choose to drive around the south end of the Puget Sound but plan for
heavy commuter traffic into and through both Tacoma and Seattle.
You can also take any of the ferries that go over to the Seattle side of
the Sound.
From Edmonds, Seattle, or points south go north on
I-5 to exit 189, Hwy 526, Mukilteo/Whidbey Island Ferry (just south of
Everett). Merge onto Hwy 526 and
continue 3.9 miles. Following the
signs to the ferry turn right onto 84th St SW.
Go .4 miles and turn right onto Mukilteo Speedway, Hwy 525.
Continue 2 miles to the Ferry dock.
Take the Mukilteo/Clinton Ferry. In
Clinton turn right on Thompson Rd approximately .4 miles from the ferry landing
and follow signs to the trial site (approximately 8 miles from the ferry
landing).
A
place on the ferries is first come/first load – you cannot make reservations.
The WSF (Washington State Ferries – www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/
) recommends you arrive at the ferry landing 20 minutes prior to sailing.
But this is not guaranteed if those who precede you meet capacity.
Many people commute to work using the
ferries so plan accordingly.
You will need cash or a travelers’ check to pay the fare. The fare varies depending upon the size of the vehicle and
number of passengers. It is highly recommended to
visit the WSF website prior to your arrival in Washington for schedules,
estimated wait times and fares.
